In October 2010, the State Council listed high-end equipment as one of seven major emerging industries in its Decision to Accelerate the Fostering and Development of Strategic Emerging Industries and defined five major high-end equipment areas: aerospace, satellite and applications Industry, Marine Engineering, Rail Transit Equipment, Intelligent Equipment.
The "12th Five-Year Plan" for high-end equipment manufacturing industry, which is led by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, has been basically completed and is expected to be introduced soon. According to the plan's target, the sales value of high-end equipment will account for more than 20% of the equipment manufacturing industry by 2015, and the annual sales value will reach 6,000 billion yuan.
Intelligent manufacturing equipment, including precision and smart instrumentation, intelligent control systems, high-end CNC machine tools, intelligent equipment, complete sets of automated production lines and other six major categories of products.
It will be an important growth point for the future economic development of the sub-sectors of high-end equipment manufacturing industry (such as fine honey and intelligent instruments, intelligent control systems, high-end CNC machine tools, intelligent special equipment and automatic complete production lines).
